Time management allows us to be productive at work, as well as in our personal lives. Having these skills is essential to a balanced life, and a successful practice. Below are some tips on how to become a time managing pro:

01. Recognize when you are most productive
Some people are more productive in the morning, and others are more productive in the afternoon.  Take a moment to reflect and really think about when you are at your best. At the same time, if mornings are not for you, think about ways you can improve your productivity in the morning. Maybe going for a run or having a large cup of coffee to jumpstart your day will do the trick.

02. Plan & Prioritize
Put the most important things at the top of your to-do list. Do you need to see a patient immediately or make an important call? If you put major things first, you will be able to tackle the rest of your day with ease. Making a list is also helpful, because it allows you to see how much you have accomplished, and how many more things you need to get done before the day is over.

03. Do not procrastinate
As a busy practice owner, there is a good chance you do not have time to delay getting tasks done. Try to keep yourself distraction-free and focused.

04. Take a break
Everyone deserves a break during their busy work day. It is even proven that breaks increase productivity. You and your patients will be much happier if you took that lunch break for yourself.
